To stop the spread of misinformation about the services available, here are some answers to Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Are you open for tours?
A: YES! We are currently open for tours 10am to 4pm Monday-Friday or by appointment. Give us a call!
Q: Do you have a volunteer program?
A: YES! We are also able to give community service hours to students.
Q: Do you take feral cats?
A: NOT YET! But we will fix and vaccinate them for you! With the help of the community we are hoping to add “catios” for ferals.
Q: I was told you have to take any stray dog or owner surrender found within the City limits.
A: NOT TRUE! The Animal Shelter is here to help the dogs and citizens of Williston. Unfortunately, if we are FULL we cannot take dogs no matter where they were found. If there is room, you will have to sign a notarized affidavit that you live and/or found the dog in the City limits.
